Up for grabs is this mondeo, genuine solid car, i bought this car as a stop gap as the car i did have had an engine faliure & i needed something to commute to work quick, & i have to say it’s been a brilliant car, I do approx 220-240 miles a week & i’ve had it since the 21st of september & it has not hiccuped once! Unfortunatly i have no service history for it,only a hpi clear certificate, though i can tell from experience ( i am a mechanic by trade) that it has been well looked after dispite the highish mileage, i would say it started life as a rep’s company car or someone that travels a lot for their job, just from the way it runs and drives and also from tell tail signs, pattern still on steering wheel & pedal rubbers not worn out, gear change and general drive of the car nice and tight, all signs of lots of motorway miles, which is the best thing for cars. Mot is up on april 5th & it’s taxed till the end of the month so can be put straight into service, the only thing’s that don’t work on the car are the air con, this might just need regassing, but not really checked it out, and only half of the heated windscreen works, so trivial items really, everything else works as it should, plus it has a ford cd player, also working well. Body wise is probably its biggest failing, nothing seroius, just the usual older car scratches & dings, i’ve put pic’s of the worst one’s, the small bit of rust pictured is the only piece it has! oh & the usual mondeo cracked bumper, though only the rear,the front one is new & was in primer when i got the car, i just did a quick paint job on it, not professional job, but respectable non the less, i have seen new bumpers on ebay for £35, but as this was a stop gap car i never bothered, the only new bits i’ve had to replace are the wiper blades & the left headlight as the adjuster had broken & it was aiming on the floor. I would say the only thing it really needs is a front tyre, suprisingly the spare is brand new so put a new one on the low front one & change the other wheel for the spare & you’ll have 2 new front tyres, the rears are still good, other than that it still has loads of life left in it, i’ll probably kick myself for selling it, but bought myself a 4×4 so i won’t hardly use it. So to round up, this is a genuine solid car, capable of a lengthy daily commute or cheapo family car, i would drive it anywhere with confidence!
