1991 MAZDA MX5 Mk1 Eunos Roadster Import Manual Red

The time has come for me to move on and part with my pride and joy. Over the past 12 months i’ve ploughed ££££ into this little beauty, no expense spared, however it’s becoming more and more of a chore to get in and out. Has covered 157km approx 97k, 1 Key and folder of receipts included, imported 2001. Bad points out the way first, if you’re still reading after this then this is the car for you! Paintwork- Faded on rear bumper, small paint blister patch above side skirt at passenger rear. All round paintwork not showroom. Bodywork- General age and car park dinks (it is 26 years old after all)The car still looks fabulous, especially when polished up. The best looking Mx5 around for sure. In my ownership-Ive seen this car through 2 MOTs now, 1st cost me over £200, and the second nearly £400. (Check Mot history online for free, many advisories taken care of)Complete overhaul of rear brake system, pads, calipers, discs- Cost £300Borbet B stretched alloys with good tread tyres (some curbing/flaking)- Cost £300Rear Lexus lights, clear lenses and repeaters.Side skirts- £100 each (driver side does have a patch of weld to rear which is hidden by the skirt)New spring coils fitted recently- £150 (lowered somewhat)Stainless steel 4-2-1 exhaust only 1 week old (decat too)- Cost £200. THIS CAR SOUNDS LIKE THUNDER, AS I HAVE TAKEN THE TWIN PIPES AND BACK BOX OFF. BUT WILL INCLUDE.Replaced Vinyl hood with a nice Burgundy/Red Mohair version, with zip out plastic rear window. – Cost £200New battery- Cost £30Sony Xplode Mp3/Usb handsfree unit, speakers in headrests.- Cost £50Deep dish OMP suede steering wheel- Cost £30New red silicone hoses in engine bay- Cost £45New timing belt and timing adjusted, correct align with cam Front strut barReplaced clutch slave cylinderRocker gasket replacedNew main fuseNew oil breather hoseNew radiator capNew Radiator- Cost £35Regular 5 month services, oil, coolant, plugs, leads, fuel & oil filter. Removed-Pas and Ac units for weight saving as not needed, also clears up the engine bay nicely.Taken rear boot carpet out, was a bit tatty, never replaced as i don’t use the boot.Pop-up light motors (permanent up)Cam cover and various other none essential items under the hood.Air filter Underneath-Made sure it was coated with rust guard anytime i was able to get under. As you can see from the Mot history, there is no advisory on this part. Pic of under car included in gallery.There are spots here and there to be expected. To sum up-A very responsive, hard driving, gritty little appreciating classic. cheap £170 per year insurance, annual tax approx £230, fuel consumption around 33mpg.Will be sad to let her go, the most fun you can have with a 1.6 N/a for sure.
